The solutions put to use by public and private players to address today’s social issues are evolving to encompass innovation as a core value driver. This includes the opening of social innovation labs, and the use of open data and layered finance in philanthropy. Social innovation allows philanthropists to expand the frontiers of their impact, creating new tools for more effective and efficient engagement.

This session will discuss the role of philanthropy in social innovation as well as developments in cross-sector collaboration that are generating social impact.
